Once More

July 24, 2010

Today’s playlist is an apology of sorts – I won’t say to whom, they know who they are. Sorry. Again.

My playlist project is progressing, as is the diagram. I’m also creating guitar picks from beach rocks, using sandpaper and polishing implements. I plan to carve some designs in once I buy a pick, too.

Also, here’s yesterday’s playlist.

Here’s today’s playlist

  1. Broken Man by Boys Like Girls
  2. Broken Hearts Parade by Good Charlotte
  3. Long Hallway With a Broken Light by Thriving Ivory
  4. Broken by Lifehouse
  5. Broken by Bad Religion
  6. Broken Toy by Keane
  7. We Are Broken by Paramore
  8. Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day

Summers Past

July 3, 2010

Those of you who live in Seattle and listen to 107.7 The End (or rather, listened to it two summers ago) will most likely recognize the songs on today’s playlist as the staples of their playlist two summers ago. I listen to these songs on occasion and they always bring back memories, so I figured I might as well put ’em all together and bring ya back.

Also, I’ll be leaving for Hawaii tomorrow – I’ll post if I have time, but I most likely won’t. So, farewell until the 12th. Have a happy 4th!

Here’s today’s playlist

  1. The Pretender by The Foo Fighters
  2. I Don’t Care by Apocalyptica
  3. Dirt Room by Blue October
  4. Feel Good Drag by Anberlin
  5. All Over You by The Spill Canvas
  6. Something Is Not Right With Me by Cold War Kids
  7. Sorrow by Bad Religion
  8. Kristy, Are You Doing Okay? by The Offspring
  9. Show Me What I’m Looking For by Carolina Liar
  10. Sometime Around Midnight by The Airborne Toxic Event

Oh, the Gloom

June 6, 2010

Yes, you guessed it – Seattle is back to its rain and grey skies. In early June. This is pitiful.

On the bright side, I’m thoroughly enjoying my pirated Super Mario Galaxy 2 (almost more so because of how hard it was to get it to work). It’s just a gorgeous game, with innovative gameplay, beautiful levels…I could go on, or you could just go to Metacritic and read a few reviews. And then go buy it. Or pirate it. Or emulate it, if you have a really powerful computer and don’t mind glitches.

Whatever you do, you should check out today’s playlist. It’s metal, ranging from softer stuff like Crime in Stereo (which, honestly, isn’t even real metal, but it’s good music) to heavy-ish stuff like Drowning Pool. I though about throwing in some August Burns Red and other death metal-esque stuff, but I can’t really stand most of the stuff, so it would be disingenuous and cruel to ask you to listen to it.

  1. Drugwolf by Crime in Stereo
  2. Criminal by After Midnight Project
  3. Million Miles by Papercut Massacre
  4. This is How I Disappear by My Chemical Romance
  5. Breakdown by Seether
  6. New Dark Ages by Bad Religion
  7. Erase Replace by The Foo Fighters
  8. Topless by Breaking Benjamin
  9. Blow by Atreyu (feat. Todd Josh)
  10. Enemy by Drowning Pool

Oh, and a last note – After Midnight Project‘s new (and debut) album is just fantastic.

Kill me now…

May 26, 2010

This post is late. I know it, you know it, my girlfriend even knows it. The fact is, as school goes on, and finals approach, it doesn’t start to get easier. I also just broke my collarbone, and thus I missed a little school. I’ve been playing catch-up for the last two weeks, and last night I almost finished catching up. Thankfully.

So here’s the playlist, with two extra songs to make up for the tardiness. Unfortunately, being the restrictive and feature-poor service it is, I can’t insert a playlist, so it’s just a list of songs with youtube links. It’s a hassle, I know. Sorry. I’m trying to figure out how to do this through I should have it working by next week, assuming my internet lets me actually upload at a decent speed…unlike what it’s doing now.

1.White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane

2.We Want War by These New Puritans

3.Truckstop Butterfly by The Presidents of the United States of America

4.Hey You by 311

5.Light It Up by Blood Red Shoes

7.Speed of Sound by Coldplay

8.The Approaching Curve by Rise Against

9.Vox Populi by 30 Seconds to Mars

10.Still Waiting by Sum 41

11.Broken by Bad Religion

12.I Will Buy You a New Life by Everclear
